On the 28th of July, my baby turns two. Sometimes I think, how is this possible? Luca is at such a fun stage in his life. He’s such a ham. I rarely get my camera out at home. It’s big, heavy, and seems like “work”, but on Tuesday, I found myself digging it out of the ol’ camera bag to document “A Day in the Life” session. I want to be able to look back and remember what life at 2 was like. Although we don’t have a “strict” schedule, we have our own special routine that happens most days. We wake up and have a squeeze pouch, play and watch tv, and that’s usually followed up by a peanut butter waffle. I try to take Luca out to do an activity before his nap. Today’s activity was playing in the sprinkler at Grandma Dee’s house. He takes a nap sometime around lunch time and wakes up ready to go! Since it’s almost his birthday, I thought it would be fun to incorporate a birthday type shoot. I took some images of Luca eating a blueberry cupcake. I feel like his personality really came through in these images! We took a bath to clean up the mess, and followed up with brushing our teeth and reading “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish” which is his favorite book.
These Day in the Life sessions are so priceless. I fell in love with the candidness of it all. Next step to check off my list is to order an album. I never want to forget these moments
