It all started with these cowboy boots and turned into shaving cream fun. I was trying to feel accomplished and organize my youngest son’s closet. I had taken a tub down from the top of the closet that had shoes I had put back a few years ago in hopes that if we had a second child, it would be a boy and he could use them. Turns out, that was the case. As I was digging through, my oldest son Luca, saw is old cowboy boots and wedged them on his feet and went on his way. I could hear both boys in the bathroom down the hall so I went to check on them. They were both in the bath, no water, playing. I decided to bring the tub of shoes in front of the bathroom door so I could watch them and attempt to go through shoes. Literally in the time it took to do that, both boys had found a bottle of Harrys Shaving Cream I had left out for a project I wanted to do with them later, and covered each other in it. I wanted to be upset and explain that this was just another mess mom would have to clean up, but they were so cute and happy with their decision. I decided to document it and then give them both a bath. I’ll be the first to admit that emotions are running on high during the quarantine, and with the weather being cold today we were simply running out of activities to do inside as well as patients, but I’m so glad I let them have this moment and documented it! Little to my knowing, it gave me a reason to create, which I have been longing to do since the quarantine started. I miss photographing, creating, and being proud of my work..so thank you boys. I think I may have to make a habit of documenting things these two wild boys get into and add it to “A Day in the Life” section.
