Our mid century home is for sale! I’m sure some of y0u have seen the post, the pretty pictures, the drone video.. but what I haven’t shared are photos of our home from the minute we moved in until now. I still get sad when I go over to the house because all of the memories associated with the home come flooding in. We bought the home when I was pregnant with Luca, our first born. That was 3 years ago. We are now expecting our second child and selling the house. It’s such a beautiful home and I know that the perfect person will see what we saw and continue adding to the uniqueness of the house.

When we purchased the home, the brick was this pink/reddish color. We knew we wanted to paint the brick and interior of the home.
This is the paint scheme we ended up using- aside from the blue color you see. Summit Gray, was used on the exterior and interior brick. Grayish was used on the cabinets. Ibis White was used on the doors and trim and Toque White was used on the walls. We went with a lacquer finish on the cabinets, trim, and walls that were wood paneling. We hired a professional paint crew to come knock the whole thing out. It was quite the process and they did a great job.
We also decided to replace the deck on the back of the house. Parts of the deck were rotting out and we were looking for a more modern feel. The home is a split level home so the upstairs deck has about a 20′ drop. Here are a few images of the deck before renovations.
Here are a few images of the deck as it was being replaced. I was roughly 33-34 weeks pregnant when all this was happening.
Another reason this home was has so much appeal is the fact that there are close to 4 acres, in town. Plenty of room for our pups to roam. That being said, we wanted to add a dog run and house so they would have a place to stay when we were not outside with them. We had a small shed that matched the exterior paint color, hauled in and a black fence installed. We ran electric to the house so it could be heated and cooled. I’d say they pups are set up pretty nice!
One of the things I found to love was the changing of the seasons. There are so many trees surrounding the house so when the season would change, so would the trees. I always felt like I was right in the middle of nature in this home.
After living in the house for a while, we decided to update the main bathroom that guest would use when they came to the house. Before on the Left/ After on the Right

I think before and after images are some of my favorite. Here are a few of the house when we first bought it and the house after renovations. New flooring was added to the entire house.

The second bedroom is across the hall from the master suite and it is pretty big as well. It was perfect as a nursery, which eventually grew into a play room.
Here are a few of the final images taken before we listed the house on the market.
